Ballistic diffusion of heavy quarks in the early stage of relativistic heavy ion collisions at RHIC and the LHC

We study the diffusion of charm quarks in early stage high energy nuclear collisions at RHIC and LHC. The main novelty present is introduction color current carried by heavy that propagate evolving glasma (EG), which responsible loss via polarization medium. compute transverse momentum broadening, ${\ensuremath{\sigma}}_{p}$, prethermalization stage, impact on modification factor nucleus-nucleus collisions. net effect marginal stage. completed calculation coordinate spreading, ${\ensuremath{\sigma}}_{x}$, a comparison with Langevin dynamics. ${\ensuremath{\sigma}}_{p}$ EG overshoots result standard dynamics end prehydro regime. interpret this as memory force acting implies ${\ensuremath{\sigma}}_{p}\ensuremath{\propto}{t}^{2}$. Moreover, ${\ensuremath{\sigma}}_{x}\ensuremath{\propto}{t}^{2}$ shows quark regime ballistic diffusion.
